Summary of experience

One can see all my experience by navigating around the website but to summarize: I worked as a photographer’s assistant from 1995 to 1997, mostly with advertising and product photographers. From 1997 to 2007 I worked with the U.S. Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). I produced photographic recordations from 1997 to 2002 and documented disaster response and recovery from 2002 to 2007 (see Disaster work). Of course, throughout the whole time, from the end of 1994 until the present, I have made my own photographs.

Instruction

Between 1995 and 2005 I taught beginning, intermediate and advanced black and white darkroom techniques for the Georgia Institute of Technology’s Options program. Since moving to Sweden I have given seminars on photography at Studieförbundet Vuxenskolan in Värmdö, and several lectures on documentary photography to students at Täby Enskilda gymnasium. I presently teach analog, black and white photography courses to the Högdalen photo club (Högdalens fotoklubb).
